Content optimization is the process of creation & alteration of websites content to increase its visibility & quality in search engine. The main purpose of content Optimization in SEO is to improve the website ranking in SERPs. In content optimization we create the content according to the target keywords which we selected for particular Web page.

Some of the methods for optimizing the content

Long tail, Short tail & alternative keywords:

Long tail keywords mean more specific keyword which is easily search able. They are highly specific, and do not create more traffic for the website, but create more quality traffic. Long tail keywords can also be used by professional and visitor in different ways.

In alternate keywords we use other keyword which have same meaning like "employment" alternative word is "Job" so we can use these keywords for more exploration.

 Find Keywords:
1. For finding keywords, we can use many tools like Google Ad Words Keyword Tool, word tracker or Google Search-based Keyword Tool. Many paid tools are also available for searching.
2. You can also install Web tracking tool like Google analytics for finding those keywords which mostly people are using for finding your website.

Where to use keywords:
If you write your keywords in natural way in your content which is easily understand by human and then use long tail keywords in the first line of your content and you should also try to use these keywords in your website title. If you use short tail & alternative keywords in your content then it is also beneficial for you.
How Not to Use Keywords
If you use same keywords many times in your Article and do not maintain keyword density then it is not fruitful for improving ranking in SERPs and Google may penalize your site which is not beneficial for SEO. So always try to maintain keyword density optimal and use your keyword on website in natural manner.
Formatting Your Content:
You should use header tags & strong tags in your website content. Your content looks more attractive and easily readable if you use bullet points in content.
Target Your Pages to Specific Content
You should not use more content on one page and target your pages to a specific service or keywords. If you use more content in one page then it will become very confusing for search engine so you should use more pages in your website if you are talking about the variety of different topics or products.
